Pricing model
A platform isn't a one-off project — it's a living product. cloudtec's pricing reflects that: a one-off investment for the build, predictable annual flat fees for operations, maintenance and steering.
One-off — build investment
The build budget covers concept, design, development, integration and go-live. The configurator shows it as a point estimate with a 90 % confidence interval. Down payment is typically at least 35 %; the remainder can be financed over 1 to 5 years.
cloudtec day rate: CHF 1'440 / PD. Hourly: CHF 180.
Annual — licence & maintenance (10 % of build budget)
The annual flat fee covers the ongoing usage licence for the cloudtec stack and the technical upkeep of your platform. Included: stack releases, compatibility updates, security patches, framework updates (PHP, Symfony, Docker), library updates, SSL management. All commissioned new development carries a 12-month warranty; bug fixes beyond that are included in the contract.
Annual — service management (5 % of build budget)
The organisational frame around operations and evolution. Includes planning, prioritisation, coordination, roadmap alignment, backlog management, SLA reporting, KPI analysis and escalation. Service management means: your platform is steered, not just operated.
Annual — hosting (3.5 % of build budget)
Dedicated servers at Hosttech GmbH in Switzerland, ISO 27001 certified. Included: Docker infrastructure (web server, database, file system, message queue, email / SMS gateway), production / staging / testing environments, hourly database backup, Web Application Firewall, continuous monitoring, SSL management, infrastructure and OS patches.
Not included: AI tokens, AI usage fees, consumption-based third-party licences — billed separately based on actual consumption.
Annual — evolution (15 to 50 %)
A platform is never "done". We recommend at least 15 % of the build budget per year to absorb new requirements, market shifts and learnings. You control the level and can redistribute between years.
Service options (annual, optional)
- SLA Basic — CHF 1'500 / year — Mon–Fri 09–17, 99.5 % uptime
- SLA Weekend — CHF 7'500 / year — Mon–Sun 08–18, 99.8 %
- SLA VIP — CHF 7'500 / year — priority response within an hour
- SEO & AI visibility — CHF 5'000 / year — monthly checks (SEO fundamentals, schema markup, indexability for AI crawlers, server-side rendering, Core Web Vitals, visibility checks in ChatGPT/Perplexity/Gemini) + 1 annual review meeting; one-time CHF 3'600 initial setup (2.5 person-days)
- Data protection advisory — CHF 2'500 / year — ongoing data-protection governance, Cookiebot configuration, automated checks, annual review meeting; one-time CHF 2'880 initial setup (Cookiebot licence per domain passed through separately)
- Security scanning — fixed-price package, three tiers with audit-ready documentation:
- *Yearly* — CHF 7'500 / year — 1 scan per year, audit baseline - *Quarterly* — CHF 10'000 / year — 4 scans per year, trend analysis - *Monthly* — CHF 15'000 / year — 12 scans per year, compliance evidence
The SLA tiers are not all mutually exclusive. Basic can only be chosen on its own; Weekend and VIP can be combined (CHF 15'000 / year) but exclude Basic.
Pre-project (one-off, optional)
Clarify requirements and architecture before development starts. Both packages are bookable without commitment to implementation — you receive the results as a stand-alone package.
- Design-centric approach — personas, user flows, wireframes, visual design. S = 5 PD (CHF 7'200), M = 10 PD (CHF 14'400), L = 20 PD (CHF 28'800)
- High-level specification — user stories, architecture sketch, acceptance criteria. Same sizes as design-centric
What the configurator shows as TCO
TCO over 5 years = build budget + 5 × recurring fees + optional service options + optional advisory packages. The hero figure on the summary page is the build-budget point estimate; TCO appears next to it as a KPI.
All figures in CHF, excluding VAT.
