Module catalogue

The cloudtec stack ships with about 20 reusable modules. Activate only what you actually need — everything else stays off and costs nothing.

Base functions (always included)

These are part of every cloudtec platform and are not billed separately: user management, permissions, authentication, data management, lists and filters, generic API, search, caching, admin UI, media management, data export and notifications.

Helper functions

Optional cross-cutting capabilities used by several modules:

• i18n — multilingual content and translation workflows
• Reporting — dashboards, KPIs, filtered analytics
• PDF engine — server-side generation of invoices and contracts
• Logging — audit-proof logs with retention obligations

Functional modules

Proven business building blocks. Each contributes 4 CapP:

• Shop — order flow, cart, checkout
• Calendar — booking, slots, waitlists
• Support — ticket system, helpdesk, incident management
• Workflow — multi-step approvals with status transitions
• Newsletter — sending, lists, tracking
• Tenant — multi-tenant model and white-label
• Sign — digital signing (Skribble, DocuSign)
• Payment — Stripe, Datatrans, Twint, PostFinance
• Solr — full-text search with facets on large datasets
• Maps — maps and geo search (swisstopo, OpenStreetMap)
• SSO — single sign-on via SAML, OIDC, Microsoft Entra ID

AI functions

Intelligent building blocks for automation, search and decision support:

• AI UX — AI-assisted input and search interfaces

Headless content management system with deeply integrated AI:

• Stack CMS — block page builder, multilingual workflows, live preview (base)
• AI Writing — AI editorial, auto-translation, SEO assistant (add-on)
• Content Dashboard — quality control across many pages (add-on)
• AI Ready Layer — MCP endpoint, llms.txt, website assistant (add-on)

Custom functions

Functions not covered by any standard module are estimated in two categories:

• Comprehensive functions (customCore, 0–10) — complete use cases with their own UI and logic. 11 CapP each.
• Supporting functions (customSupport, 0–20) — smaller filters, reports, input forms, workflows. 6 CapP each.

The split prevents overestimation. If shop is selected as a module, checkout doesn't count again as a custom function.

Modules aren't everything

Complexity is more strongly driven by integrations, data migration, compliance requirements and the number of concurrent users. The model weights this accordingly.
